Chapel Hill Dentist Expands Practice by Opening New Location
February 29, 2016
CHAPEL HILL, NC – Dr. Dinah Vice, a longtime dentist in Chapel Hill, has opened another Sunrise Dental location in Cary with weekend hours and comprehensive dental care.
Sunrise’s Dental new location, 1223 Parkside Main St., officially opened December 2015 and has convenient weekday and weekend hours. The office offers complete dental care, including general dentistry, teeth whitening services, veneers, dental implants, Invisalign treatment and even sleep apnea treatments.
“Over the years, we’ve had so many of our patients come from Cary, so we’re happy to have a location that is both modern and convenient,” said Dr. Vice, who operates Sunrise Dental. “Our patients can expect the excellence and high quality of care they’ve come to enjoy at any other Sunrise Dental location.”
The new Sunrise Dental location is open until 7 p.m. from Tuesday through Thursday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Cary office is the only Sunrise Dental location that is open on Saturdays.
Dr. Laura Azzu and Dr. James Jorge are the two dentists practicing full-time at Sunrise Dental in Cary. Drs. Azzu and Jorge are trained in all aspects of general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry.
“The new location is a full-service dental office that welcomes patients of all ages and dental needs,” Dr. Vice said. “The office is state-of-the-art and includes comfortable amenities and operatories for our patients.”
Sunrise Dental locations are in Chapel Hill, Cary, Raleigh and Durham and each office has at least two doctors who provide timely, comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Dr. Vice started Sunrise Dental in 1985 and has eight associates. The dental team at Sunrise Dental is trained in preventive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, sedation dentistry, restorative dentistry, root canal therapy, gum disease treatment, Invisalign, dental implants, TMJ and headache relief and sleep apnea treatments.
The staff of Sunrise Dental is focused on using technology to achieve precise and aesthetic results. The practice uses a cone beam computed tomography scanner to diagnose dental problems and to plan out restorative and cosmetic treatments. The scanner provides 3-D images of the teeth, jawbone and oral cavity, and even exposes the tiny vessels and nerves.
One of the biggest advantages of the CBCT is that it can be used in planning and placing dental implants. Dental implants and mini dental implants nearly mimic the power of natural teeth and can be restored with individual crowns or dentures.
Dr. Vice has worked in dentistry for more than 30 years. She got interested in dentistry because she struggled with crooked teeth as a child. She entered the dental hygiene program at Ohio State University in 1970 and started working professionally in 1972. She later earned her dental degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1984. After dental school, Dr. Vice decided to stay in Chapel Hill and opened up the first Sunrise Dental location in 1985.
Two of Dr. Vice’s children, Dr. Dirk Vice and Dr. Esther Vice-Hanson, are associates at Sunrise Dental.
